Petition Letter: Hello,

My names Connor Gilmour, and i was hoping to drop my classes, so that i could start next year fresh. Unfounrtunatly, i have had a turbulent year, that has caused me to miss massive amounts of school. With my prolonged concussion symptoms as well as pneumonia being the culprits. I can send doctors notes to prove record for both.
The concussion clearly effected my ability to work, making sitting through a class in a poorly lit lecture hall with 200 other students nearly unbearable, eventually the over simulating environments got to me, and made me withdraw from going to lectures for over 4 weeks and seek medical help.
The pneumonia set in over the winter break and bed locked me 3 weeks. It also forced me to quickly fly back to Vancouver to have my parents help in sorting out my health. During this period i fell so far behind, that catching up never felt like an opportunity. i reached out to a few of my professors and they where incredibly understand, but there was little that could be done.
Im only applying here as a last resort, because i truly have fallen in love with Queens university, and i feel like I've been robbed of my first year. i hope to come back next year and start over.
