Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To Whom it May Concern,
I am submitting this appeal for an Aegrotat Grade in three of my courses (POLS 212, POLS 250, and POLS 261) because I am unable to finish the remainder of the coursework for the term. Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is a very curable, but serious type of cancer that I need to seek treatment for immediately. To get this treatment, I have had to move back home to the Niagara treatment to go to the Juravinski Cancer Hospital in Hamilton. Here I will be undergoing chemotherapy treatment for the next 6 months, which is very draining and hard on the body. This is why I am unable to complete my coursework in Kingston.
I have been going through the diagnosis process since mid January in Kingston while also keeping up with academics and extracurriculars (doctors appointments, CT Scans, and biopsies) but to seek treatment I have had to move back home and go through this process with my family.
All of the records of my doctors appointments in Kingsotn, including the diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer can be found through Queen's Health Services, as all of my records in Kingston were submitted there. If any more records or scans of the ones that are with Health Services, I can be contacted at 14db38@queensu.ca and can send them at any time.
Thank you very much for your time
Best,
Dylan Buskermolen
