Petition Letter: To Whom it May Concern,

I fell behind in ECON 111 due to extenuating circumstances beyond control. There is no way for me to catch up at this point. I was sick for most of the semester and have been treated by an MD. I am requesting to drop the course without academic penalty. If you need any further information, I will be more than happy to provide it.
