Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

New Information: To whom it may concern,

The aim of this appeal letter is to have all grades from the 2011/2012 academic year dropped from my transcript. They are completely non-representative of my abilities as a student. I was in the midst of a major depressive episode during both semesters; I was not attending classes or tutorials, failed to submit major assignments, and even failed to write many exams. Major depressive episodes are a pathological state caused by neurochemical imbalance. My failings as a student during the 2011/2012 academic year were a direct consequence of a medical condition. My poor performance is entirely consistent with the associated symptoms of major depressive episodes as well.

I have very recently been diagnosed as a manic-depressive and been prescribed carefully calibrated medication. I am also regularly seeing a counsellor. In addition, I am making use of community services such as AA and Frontenac Community Health and Addiction Services
