Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I need to take this course as it's one of my required courses to graduate. I attempted it last year and must admit I did not apply myself as rigorously as I should have. With that self realization and the course content still fresh in my mind, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to retake the program this summer.

I did apply for the course whilst it was still open on Wednesday morning. However, SOLUS rejected my application saying that I did not have the required prerequisites which as we know is incorrect. When I reapplied on Thursday morning, SOLUS then told me the class was full.

I sent an email to Professor Molson early on Wednesday morning of last week and was told to email Chunfang Devon Lin. I emailed Dr. Lin on Thursday morning as instructed and was asked why I was interested in taking the course. After more email exchanges, Dr. Lin told me yesterday to send an email to cds@queensu.ca, which I did. CDS told me that I now need to lodge an appeal in order to be accepted in the class and pay a 50 fee, hence this appeal.

Although I am frustrated that I wasn't directed to you last Wednesday, I remain committed to catching up on any lost time and course content.

I truly appreciate your assistance in finding an opening for me.

Thanks and regards,
Sean

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: I need this class in order to graduate. I have completed all of my electives and do not want to maximize the opportunity of my time this summer. Also, I would like to complete the course whilst the content is still fresh in my mind.
