Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I need to take STAT 263 over the summer term. Before the deadline of May 5th, STAT 263 was shown on solus as full, or closed. As of today, May 9th, there are 2 available spots open. I took this course in the past term, as received a C-. But for the next level of mandatory course I need to take, ECON 351, it states I need a C. Therefore it is critical that I complete this course this summer. As of right now, I am registered for 9 units, Math 121 and Fren 106. I understand that the maximum course load for the summer is 9 units. Therefore, if the appeal is granted before May 12th, I will be able to drop Fren 106 if it is necessary. The course, STAT 263, has been full from the first day I tried to register, which was May 4th. Before that, I was uncertain of my grade in the course, and was therefore unable to register earlier. As soon as my grade for the course came out however, the online STAT 263 was already full. But when I double checked today, May 9th, it was shown as open. So I am hoping that I am able to register for this course as soon as possible.

Much regards,
Stephanie LIu

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: In the past term, I did not spend enough time on my online course, as this was my first online course, I procrastinated, resulting in my less than satisfactory grade. In the summer however, I can focus solely on my school work. If the appeal is granted, I willing be working extra hard in order to achieve a better grade.
