Petition Letter
Petition Letter: During the second half of the school year (specifically second semester) I was plagued by a vitamin B12 deficiency. I suffered from many of the common symptoms, which include: constant fatigue, lack of concentration, lack of motivation, headaches, brain fog. These symptoms arose one by one not in unison, each one affecting the way I was a student synonymously with my academic prowess. I found myself constantly tired, unable to go to class and when I did I was unable to focus on the topics at hand. Some days I would be enslaved to my bedroom due to the fact it was so hard for me to focus on the simple stuff around me. Essays became extremely difficult, as my symptoms at the time were extremely incohesive with their long and tedious nature. Eventually around March I saw fit that I visit KGH (Kingston General Hospital) they decided that my symptoms were from the lifestyle of a student and they would go away over time. Studying for exams became much more difficult compared to the norm I was accustomed to, although the true difficulty derived from writing the exams as I went through fits of brain fog specifically for Pols, Psych, and Econ. Once exams were over and I was home I went to see a doctor who deduced through extensive blood work that I had low vitamin b12. Since than I have been prescribed monthly shots, which subsequently have brought me, back to good health. I ask that you take these series of events into consideration when looking over my appeal, although no matter what conclusion you come to, I will respect your decision.
