Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To Whom it may concern:

I am writing today to appeal my requirement to withdraw for a year. At the completion of my final year (5th) last April 2014, I applied to graduate and was denied the ability due to my overall GPA being just below the required level. I met with an academic advisor following my exams in April to discuss the options I had for going about graduation. I was told that I would need to boost my GPA and to do so I would need to achieve at least a B in 2 summer courses to provide enough to heighten my GPA. I was informed that I would be receiving the notice of my RTW during the summer, however was told that if I could improve my GPA during summer semester that I would have a chance to apply for graduation during the fall 2014 session. I completed two summer courses, and achieved the marks that I needed and I now stand at 1.59 GPA according to the appeals coordinator and academic advisor who contacted me.

I would like to submit this appeal to graduate due to the fluctuation of my grades from the end of my April 2014 semester to the completion and upgrade during the summer semester.

Thank you

Christopher Adams
