Petition Letter: To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing with regards to dropping the PSYC 100 course that is currently on my record as I thought I dropped the course before it started as I was unable to take on an academic commitment at the time as I had some difficulty with Child Care for my son and couldn't go to school, work full time and take care of him.
It is my fault that I was unclear on the instructions on how to drop the class as it seems that I didn't follow the process correctly. However, I was very overwhelmed with being a new mother at the time that I barely knew what day of the week it was. I never attended the classes online or even knew how to log in until a few weeks ago as I had lost my log in info for solus months ago. If I had known that I had not dropped the class correctly, I would have taken all required measures to correct this situation before I missed the deadline.
I now have full time child care for my son so I have the time to pursue my degree while I work and would really like to be given a second chance.
