I am hoping to add a course (DRAM236; Public Presentation) this late in the year due to some circumstances that will arise next semester. I am currently a PSYC100 Teaching Assistant, which requires a Friday morning meeting each week. As this Friday morning class is not shown on SOLUS, I enrolled in PSYC380; Advanced Perception in the winter term, which also takes place on Friday mornings.
Due to this conflict, and my interest in continuing to be a Teaching Assistant next semester, I am hoping to drop PSYC380. To ensure that I have enough credits, I am hoping to add DRAM236; Public Presentation, which I have been attending every week since September. Initially I was not able to enrol in DRAM236 because I am enrolled in PSYC501 that shows up on SOLUS as two sections per week, when in actuality I only attend one of the sections per week. Therefore, I was able to attend DRAM236 all semester, as I wanted to learn and improve my public speaking skills. The professor of this course, Kim Renders, is aware that I was attending in an unofficial capacity all semester, but has still allowed me to participate in all of the individual and group assignments. Kim has also been grading my assignments, so adding the course this late in the year will not add any extra consideration from Kim or myself. Kim is fully supportive of this late course add, and is happy to confirm this.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: This course add will contribute to my degree as another credit achieved. By adding this course to my transcript this will also me to speak about my experiences in the course in an official capactiy. By adding this course (DRAM236) I will be able to drop a winter-term course that conflicts with another commitment and I will be able to continue as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the winter term. I believe that continuing as a TA will prepare me well for future TA positions in graduate school. Also by continuing, my two sections of students will have me as their TA for both semesters, rather than having to get to know a new TA for the winter term.
Overall, I have done the work that this course requires, and really enjoyed the course. The professor and I have gotten to know each other throughout my involvement in the course, and didn't realize that doing an appeal was possible for my circumstance until now. I would love to retroactively add this course to my transcript and to be able to rearrange the last semester of my degree at Queen's appropriately.
