Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am writing an appeal to have STATS263 dropped from my transcript for the 2017 Summer term. In late February 2017, I became very ill with mononucleosis and could barely leave my bed. I have a medical records from that period of time including the multi visits to Kingston General Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital during Reading Week 2017 (which I can submit separately).

I knew I would be unable to continue the my current course load that I was taking so I appealed for an incomplete in FILM240 and STATS263. I did however make arrangements to have these courses completed during the Summer term assuming I would feel better. Unfortunately my immune system recovered very slowly so I was continually getting sick throughout the summer. I had numerous illnesses during the summer including several Uninary Tract and Kidney Infections (I have medical records of my UTI diagnosis and several doctor visits which I can submit separately). These continual ailments along with my exhausting work commitments (which were required to pay for my 2017 tuition) took a toll on my mental health as well. My longstanding anxiety issues (I have an IEP for this issue) made this course work even more difficult to complete. I did managed to complete my FILM240 class but was unable to complete my STAT263 course.

REQUEST
I would like to have this course removed from my transcripts. I was in full communication with my STAT263 professor Chuck Molson, throughout the summer and he is fully supportive of this appeal.

Thank you for consideration
