Petition Letter: I am appealing to add CISC 102 late to my fall term. This is a required course for my Biomedical Computing degree in first year, and thus it is imperative that I be added to this course. When I initially signed up for my courses in July, I was referencing a prerequisite chart on the Queen's Biomedical Computing website that was out of date. As such, I enrolled in the courses that it said are required for me in first year. I had no idea that they had added a new course, CISC 102, that is required for all computing students in first year. Through discussion with my peers, I just found out that I had to be in CISC 102. Thus, I believe that it was an administrative error that led to my current circumstance.
As all Biomedical Computing students course loads are completely full in first year, I cannot stress the importance of adding this course into my schedule, as will be reinforced by Irene LaFleche.

Note to Hayley: I have already been in contact with Irene LaFleche, and she has emailed the ArtSci faculty with the request to add me into CISC 102 as soon as possible.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My course of action will be to drop MATH 111 (a 6 credit course) and add in place of those two slots CISC 102 (3 credits) in my fall term and MATH 112 (3 credits) in my winter term. These two courses will fulfill the requirements of the Biomedical Computing (BCH) degree program.
Thus, if this appeal is approved, my courses will look like such:

I have already been introduced to linear algebra in the two weeks that I have attended MATH 111, and thus I will be more than prepared for MATH 112 in my winter term. In addition to this, I have contacted the professor of CISC 102 and determined what course material I have missed to date. I have already made steps towards being caught up in CISC 102.
CISC 102 has one section, and it fits into my current schedule. MATH 112 lectures are during my MATH 111 lectures in the winter term, which will be dropped (as it is an optional course for Biomedical Computing students).
As CISC 102 is a prerequisite to almost all second year CISC courses, it is imperative that I am added to it.
