Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I attempted to bring up my GPA through summer courses. I did not take these courses as serious as I should have. I am not making excuses for what I have done in the past. Reality struck me as I read the word suspension. I¿¿ve always lived my life with a smile so even when things didn¿¿t go the way I wanted it to I could at least force myself to be happy. This positive outlook on life has been my coping mechanism. It has made me put things out of sight and out of mind. I now know I have to change and face the poor decisions I have made in the past. I know that I need to tackle these problems and issues head on. I need to learn from my mistakes or I will be repeating them over and over. The future honestly scares me. I¿¿m not sure entirely sure what I was going to do with my life, but I know I need a proper education. Education will provide many more open doors and opportunities. I thought long and hard about the other choices I have to do during this suspension. To be frank, there aren¿¿t really any. My mindset is changed and I am ready to tackle education in a new set of mind along with new principles. I will be the change I want to see.
