Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I have greatly struggled academically this past semester. The circumstances were beyond my control. I suffer from anxiety and my son suffers from Autism. My spouse also has Asperger's syndrome. He has become increasingly violent in our home and FACS has been involved. He is no longer allowed to live with us after a situation that the police were involved in. This has been incredibly stressful for me as a mother and a student. I have become fatigued and unfocused due to the stress and adjusting to life as a single mother and to deal with the aftermath of the violent episodes from my spouse. I have also been affected by the flu over the past couple of months and finally put on antibiotics. I feel that it is best that I drop 2 out of the four fall term courses and just focus on the deferred exams of only two courses and focus on my new winter term courses.
