Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean of Health Studies,
I am appealing for Credit standing in KNPE 265, HLTH 230, and KNPE 251 because my final grades suffered tremendously from poor class attendance which stemmed from several health complications I experienced during the fall 2017 term. Several questions on my final exams were linked to information both taught and discussed in lecture which I had missed, leading to my final exam grades suffering tremendously as well. I strongly believe that the quality of my work would have been far greater had I not been facing these extenuating circumstances and am appealing for credit standing with the hope that my GPA will not suffer from these unavoidable complications. I also plan on applying for internships in the future and fear that I will not be granted acceptance because of my GPA.
I plan to take on extra courses in the winter 2018 term as well as extra courses in the summer to improve my overall GPA and to drastically improve my class attendance in the remaining terms of my studies. My hope is that you will grant this appeal so that I will be evaluated fairly in my applications for future opportunities and not held back by a situation out of my control.
Kind Regards,
Nicole Cook
