Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I spoke to my professor (Dr. Molson) about the events that occurred during the 2017 fall exam season during which I was under high-stress levels saving a friend who was trying to commit suicide.
I didn't think it would be possible to avoid the exam at the time and I didn't want to waste any time trying to find out if I could avoid the exam since there were only a few days left to study.
After already having 4 exams and a midterm within a week and a half, I was ready to ultimately focus on my stats exam. The night after my physiology exam I was up until 4 AM making calls with 911 and I was stressed about her well being in the hospital for about 2 days afterwards.
Needless to say, I was unable to focus or concentrate during the preceding days and this was beyond my control and not indicative of my ability in the course. Upon reviewing my exam I found blunders that would not have happened had I been well rested and unstressed. I know this certainly because upon reviewing of my exam I realized I got part a) right but then b) and c) wrong which is frustrating since parts b and c use the numbers calculated in part a. My first mark in the course after the first evaluation was about a 75 ( I can't remember exactly) and I was hoping for at least an 80 on the final exam. Please allow me to appeal for a CR standing.
