Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Two nights before my MATH 121 exam (scheduled with Professor Ableson for April 27th), my long-distance boyfriend told me that he was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of April. He wanted to wait until all my exams were done before telling me, but wasn't aware that I still had one left. I was a complete mess upon hearing the news and emailed Professor Ableson the next morning to see if he had any suggestions on what we could do moving forward. As I live in Vancouver and had to fly home the night of the 27th, Professor Ableson suggested that the best option would be to appeal for an AG standing in the course. In terms of documentation, I really only have screenshots of messages I received from my friends and family, and an emergency plane ticket purchased so I could go be with him immediately in Australia. I hope that this information will suffice.
