My name is Adrien Mindjimba, my student number is 20008577.
I received an email this past week stating that I have to withdraw from University for a period of 12 months. I am writing to you right now with the hopes that this decision could be reversed.
I was on academic probation in my first year at Queen's. I needed to get over a 1.6 GPA in my second year to be off probation. But I did not succeed. My first semester was simply terrible, I was not in the right state of mind to do school and thought that I could get through it by myself like I usually do. But this problem was too much to keep to myself and literally destroyed me.
There was a problem with my sister in her high school. Something really important that cannot be undone. I wish to keep it to myself but if needed I could talk about it.
I failed two classes in which I should never have failed. Without these two failure I would have had a much better GPA.
In my second semester I only took 4 classes because I thought it would be best to focus more. I too a Commerce class and finished with a B- which I am really happy with. One of my economics class I finished with a C which was pretty good considering I missed half of the midterm. I am in the process of appealing my French failure because of another issue that happened to me. And I failed an econ-stats class. I am really not good at Stats.
I worked so hard to try to get back on track and it is soul crushing to receive this email from Queen's. I am asking you if there could be any kind of plan I could start to not have to leave Queen's for a year I am retaking currently a Math class that I failed and I know I am going to do good. But I really want to show you that I can be much better. I really hope you can give me that second chance that I terribly need.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: A plan that I was thinking of was the following one;
I was thinking of only taking four classes a semester instead of 5, having regular meeting with Good2Talk. I signed up with a Peer Mentoring which really helped me.
And I want to take a regular tutor in certain classes that I am struggling with.
I know I can be a good student and I am only asking that a conditional offer would be made to me.
For example achieving a at least 2.0 GPA in the first semester to be able to stay for the rest of the year.
I know deep down that I can do it and will do it.
