Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Dr. Johanne Bénard ,

I am appealing to drop HIST 125, ASTR 101, and DEVS 100 (Summer, 2018)

I am unable to complete the courses as I have spent two weeks in hospital and another 3 weeks since still not healthy. I feel very weak and my body aches all the time and at certain times I will almost feint. The doctors are still investigating my condition as it seems to be a very rare case. I have low phosphate so I¿¿m on phosphate pills and my insulin is very high but my blood sugar is normal so it¿¿s not diabetes. I have gone through many tests and lots of bloodwork and some of results haven¿¿t come in yet so the doctors are still unsure what is causing the irregularities in my blood and what my problem is. Therefore I am not able to focus very well and I am in constant discomfort so doing anything is very hard. I am not even able to go walking for more than like 45 seconds. I am not able to accomplish the work required for the courses as I am not well enough during the way to focus on work.

Hopefully this is just a temporary extenuating circumstance and by the end of the summer the doctors will figure out my problem and I will be healthy and able to go back to school perfectly fine. If not than I may have to lighten my course load or something more drastic if I am still feeling very unwell all the time.
