Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To who ever this may concern:
I am requesting to drop a course,CISC282, after the deadline for several reasons. To be frank, I heard from one of my friends that this course is a course about mobile apps and it is an elective, so I thought I try to take it. However, it turned out that this course is very intense in coding in web languages such as javascript and php, when I went to the instructor and asked how much time I should be spending on this course the instructor just smiled and said she has no idea. In addition, the course covered a lot of content for each assignment. As a result I ended up spending more than a lot of time on the course, more than I have expected. The reason that I missed the dead line is because for the past few years, the deadline was on the first week of November, likewise, I thought this year wouldn't be any different, so I have decided to drop this course after I finished one of my assignments in one of my other class. However, I was mistaken and as a result I missed the deadline. Although I have no supporting documents, I hope that my appeal may be granted since I indeed learnt my lesson- that is never assume things and double check on everything.
Once again Thank you for your time and hopefully that my appeal will be granted.
