The course I want to appeal: Bio 102
I would like to appeal Bio102 because I only got a D minus on it.The crucial part of this course is the lab report, which is 27 percent of the total course final; And I did a terrible job on it just because I came from China and no nothing about it.
I am an international student from China. In my high school, I haven¿¿t been taught to use the APA format. Also, when my Professor did his introduction to this course, he did not clarify the importance of the APA format. So even if I spent ten hours without my lunch to try my best to make my second bio lab report to be better than the first one, which is terrible. The final score of that lab report was 4.5 out of 15, I indeed did my best, but no one gave me any piece of advice or instruction about it.
What¿¿s more, since, within this one-term course, there were three professors in charge of our teaching. It was also struggling to find the office of them all as a freshman, Sometimes, I got lost and wasted much time to see the way back. Even for the other full-year course, I chose, there was only one professor. For Bio 102, it was entirely different.
Once, when I tried to ask one of the three professors a question about ¿mushroom tissue,¿ he told me that he is in charge of the zoology of this course and I should go to another office. I feel I am not able to get enough support from my professors.
I put many efforts into my study. In most courses, my grades are above B, and I even got two A on my summer course. I was trying my best to learn as much knowledge as possible at Queen¿¿s University I always love; And definitely., to achieve a higher GPA as possible. However, the Bio 102 depressed my academic enthusiasm a lot. I want to turn my Bio 102 score into a CR
