Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hi PSYC Faculty,

I am writing to you in regards to an appeal for Credit standing in PSYC100. The reason for this appeal is because the final mark has severely affected my GPA and it did not reflect the full effort that I have put into the course. If you talk to my TA in lab 011 (I apologize but I forgot her name since it has been a while), she will remember an Asian student that was extremely engaging and have completed the majority of her labs on time with zeal. However, she will recall that I have spoken to her about my personal extenuating circumstances in person that have cause to skip one/two lab per term. The reason being is I was suffering from depression (which has been documented by my family doctor and is sent to Nasha DeGroot natasha.degroot@queensu.ca a Queen's Nurse/Occupational Therapist who will support any questions asked by the faculty in regards to my extenuating circumstances). I am adamant to further my studies after my bachelors in DEVS. Hence, I hope the faculty can make this one exception to increase my GPA and chance to get Masters. Sorry for any inconvenience and extra paperwork that may follow this request. I loved PSYC100 very much, I've read all the modules and read readings that were not even required, but I can never give the exam questions the answer that the marker was looking for (this will for sure reflect on my OnQ). I look forward to your reply.

Thank you,
Christine Mao
