Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am appealing to add PHYS106 to my schedule.
Currently, I am in the process of attempting to switch from the Art & Sciences faculty to Engineering. As such, I require PHYS106 in order to meet the necessary requirements to apply as an Upper Year transfer student. Having already taken PHYS117, I was unable to enroll immediately to PHYS106 as they are exclusions of each other. I did not realize this until last night (Wednesday, September 19th). I emailed the course professor to grant an exception and enroll me into the course. Professor Martin agreed to enroll me in the course forwarded the email to Melissa Balson, their undergraduate program assistant. Unfortunately, she was unable to do so as the day had passed the last day to add courses.
I didn't enroll in the course earlier as I was still discussing with my parents and advisors as to switching into engineering. Hence I waited until the last day to drop my current Science courses and enroll in the necessary courses I required in order to apply for upper year engineering. I was able to enroll in the other courses but due to the exclusion between PHYS106 and PHYS117, I was unable to enroll in PHYS106 on time.
Hence considering the circumstance, I am appealing to be granted enrolment into the course.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Currently, my academic plan is to switch from Life Science to Electrical and Computer Engineering. After doing research, I determined I could do this by applying for upper year engineering as long as I met the requirements. In order to apply, I require 6 equivalent courses of the 11 first year engineering courses. I already have met 2-course requirements and require 4 more. CISC121, MATH111, as well as PHYS106 would provide me with the 4 equivalent courses.
