Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter fo appeal for the addition of the course PSYC 397 - History of Modern Psychology, taught by Dr. Mary Olmstead to
Upon dropping PSYC 430 - The Self, taught by Jill Jacobson on Friday September 14 2018, I found an appropriate alternative ( PSYC 397 - History of Modern Psychology) to replace this course. I am certain that upon dropping PSYC 430, I also enrolled in PSYC 397. I watched my OnQ page closely in order to ensure that I would be able to catch up with the course material, and unfortunately did not get added to the OnQ page. Upon further inspection, I found that SOLUS did not complete my enrolment into the course, and immediately emailed the undergraduate secretary in psychology to assist with this.
I request that this course be added to my account, as it is required that I take a PSYC course in group B for my graduation requirements. As I am in my fourth year of study, it is imperative that this course be added in order to remain eligible to graduate in the spring.
Please update me with the status of this appeal at your earliest convenience.
Thank you,
Farah Sadoon

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: To whom it may concern:
If this appeal is granted, I will go about executing the following steps and processes to ensure success in the course PSYC 397 - History of Modern Psychology:
Schedule three points in the school week that will be dedicated to working on course material (as this is an online course and there is no lecture schedule),
Work closely with the professor of the course (Dr. Mary Olmstead) to inform her of the reason I have enrolled in the class late, catch up with any missed assignments and request to be added to certain groups for group projects if applicable at this point in the semester,
and
Create a schedule that incorporates all of my class assignments due for each week of the semester and create a timeline for when I will work on each assignment, reading and test material.
I hope that the above plan is sufficient enough to grant my approval for being enrolled in this course.
Thank you for your consideration.
