Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I, Melanie Greenwood, am a fourth year student at Queen¿¿s who has recently developed some serious health complications. I have been in and out of the hospital over the past couple months and am still unsure of my exact diagnosis. I have appointments set up with various specialists including a cardiologist, neurologist, and GI doctor. I am hoping to get better soon but am not sure how long it will take to get to the bottom of this. I have missed most of my classes this fall term as a consequence of these health issues, and unfortunately, it no longer seems logical for me to return to school this semester. I am currently in the process of dropping out of my courses for the term but am still waiting on departmental consent to drop my fourth year seminars. In the mean time, I am requesting an appeal in hopes of receiving academic compensation for the Fall 2018 term.
