Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,

My name is Roman and im a 4th year student here at queens. Im looking to drop cisc340 for a few reasons. I was already looking into dropping it right before the deadline but was waiting for the professor to release the marks for the quizzes which happened at the last minute, which didnt leave me much time to decide. Also Im switching program specializations and this course is not required in the new specialization. Furthermore im trying my absolute best to raise my gpa as high as i can this year and this is the only class that im having severe difficulties with, id much rather drop the class than have it affect my gpa negatively. I tried to drop it on friday night but solus was already saying im not able to, I contacted Karen Knight from the computing department but she said to contact the artsci department for an appeal.
