Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is Sarah Caddell, student 20057284. In the months before the fall semester began, I made the decision to no longer continue my studies at Queen's University. I was in the BMus program, as a vocal major. A previous injury with my vocal chords returned last year, and lead to me, ultimately, making the decision to take the year off. From November 5th-November 21st, 2018, I was visiting London, England for leisure. Upon my return, my mother decided to check my Queen's account to see if there were ant necessary payments. To her surprise, she discovered that I was still enrolled in the class, MUSC 127A. It appears that when I was dropping my classes, I overlooked the pop-up stating that this course could not be dropped without the faculty's approval. Following this discovery, I went to Harrison Le-Cain where I talked to Lee Atkinson. She filled out an Academic Change Form. Following this, I went to the Arts and Science building where I was informed that I would have to appeal. I wish to appeal as I have not attended any classes nor do I have any intention of doing so for the rest of the school year.
