Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I was set up to fail on this team project. By being moved into a group after the proposal was submitted, I was not able to have a decision on how the project was handled and what was being complete. I believe that the low mark received is directly related to the original idea and as I was not allowed to be part of the creation of this my marks should be redistributed. As well during the creation of the video components, I was locked out of google servers which is a critical part of this project. After which I asked for an extension this was granted however on the ground that there would still be late marks given
In the final marks a comment was given that says Should have got time from web source instead of coding your clock no reason why this comment was given was received as the clock still worked as intended and kept time
As well Proposal modified significantly but revised proposal not submitted. No cloud service mentioned. First off again I was not allowed to work on the proposal as I was switch in to the group after this was due, the instructor had to accept the proposal if an essential part of the project was a cloud service this project should not have been approved as the majority of the marks later on come from the instructor fondness to the project and this idea was first taken from the proposal there is no reason why I should have marks related to this project
As well the neopixel strip listed as a reason for losing mark here: not neopixel strip as proposed, no neopixel strip was taken away from us this creates an undue burden by removing marks for something that was impossible to complete this is something that should be reevaluated.
Did not demo streaming of MP3 data one, this was not proposed two, the project parts to do this were never given I believed the instructor made inferences on what we thought we were doing and what he wanted. however again as I was not allowed to participate in the creation of the proposal for the project and this stems from an original idea in which I was not allowed to participate in this mark should not be given towards me
Overall it seems like the entirety of this project hinged on the original proposal an aspect I was not given the opportunity to be a part of
