Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Officer,

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome on Sept 4th this summer. I took the medicine but still suffered from irregular menstrual pain every month.
I did not drop this course before Nov 2nd because I was suffering the menstrual pain the whole semester, especially from Oct 30th to Nov 1st when several midterms just were coming that week and the week after that. The only thing I can do during these days is just to take the exam in pain. I planned to drop this course in that week, but I was so sick and overwhelmed with all the midterms and handling my unexpected illness during the midterm week. So I missed the deadline of dropping the course.
Before the midterm week, I was also being affected by my illness but still hoping that the situation would be better after the midterm. Unfortunately, my situation is getting worse when the days are becoming colder and felt too exhausted this semester.

All the translation of documentations are provided by Helen Lin( Tel: 403-714-7888) who works in a hospital in Calgary and introduced by my aunt Kay Lin

I sent the same dropping request for another course before. I tried my best but was in a really terrible health condition this term, not only one course getting affected. I hoped that this appeal to drop CISC220 could granted too.
