Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean:
I am writing this letter to appeal that I have been required to withdraw from the Faculty from Arts and Science for a minimum of three years.
In the past years, I have experienced too many things. However, I have no one to talk to and share my feelings with. In the first year, I did not pay any attention to my study. During that time, I did not realize that how important GPA is. Everything seemed not too terrible at that moment. In the second year, my father told me that our family business had a big trouble. We probably lost everything we have. After I heard that, it is so hard for me to face the fact. Should I tell my friends what happened or maybe I should not do that My body was full of stress. The academic performance was terrible in the second year. Based on these academic performances, I have been required to withdraw for a year.
There is no denying the fact that previous experiences still influence my life. I am not trying to find excuses for my poor academic performances. However, it takes time to make me forget about those experiences. There are several reasons for my poor academic performances, they come down to two major ones. As a university student, I should know how to deal with my stress. And, I should be matured enough to handle these family situations. Three years is a quite long period. So many things will happen in next three years. I still think education is the most important aspect of my life. If it is possible, I would like to go back to school in winter term in 2019.
If I get the chance to back to school, everything will be treat in a serious way. For the academic performance, I will try my best and make efforts to it.
My academic plan:
First of all, making the GPA higher than 1.6. Afterwards, I will be out of the academic probation. The next step, I will make my GPA higher than 1.9 or even better. If it is possible, I also want to get the master degree.
Everyone will stuffer bad things in their lifetimes. I hope school will give me a chance to back there and have a new start.
