Good afternoon,

I am writing this letter to appeal to drop three of my courses. Fall 2018 semester I was unable to attend four of my courses, due to issues with my study permit. I originally appIied to extend my study permit in June because it expiring on the 28th of August 2018. I was asked to get a new passport before I could so I went back to Nigeria, got my passport and reapplied in August. They needed an enrolment form and I gave them an old one. This was the reason I was denied my extension and so I had to apply for a renewal of status on October 22nd 2018, during this period I was not legally allowed to attend classes, but my fees for that semester has been paid in full. My courses didn¿¿t have essays due until October so I was really affected. I applied for academic consideration and only one of my instructors was able to give me an incomplete GNDS 340, which I am in the process of completing. I was advised to appeal to drop the rest of my courses. My courses where affected due to situations out of my control and I want it to affect my grades in the least way possible.
