Petition Letter: Hello,
I was in CISC 251 for the fall semester of 2018 and am surprised with the grading that I received for the course.
My final grade in this course was a C which I feel did not reflect my actual knowledge of the material. Going into this exam I had a 75 in the course from a report submitted. After this report I sent an email to professor Skillicorn asking him some questions about the logistics of the exam. He responded to my email with a very rude and angry tone. In this email that I sent to him I included my student number, and I believe that he marked my exam more harshly than other students due to my email. After receiving my mark I asked to speak with professor Skillocorn to go over my exam. During the meeting I learned that he gave me a zero on a final question on the exam that I answered worth 18/60 marks or 30 of my exam. I have never seen this severity in marking a question before and it makes me believe that professor Skillicorn marked my exam very harshly because of my questions, which made him believe that I did not attend class. Due to this reason, I would like someone else to review my exam mark to make sure it was marked fairly.
