My name is Fionn Lyons (20123818), I am a first year student appealing the Associate Dean to waive the January 18th deadline For adding the course Film110B-001 for second term.
On January 9th, 2019, I accidentally dropped the full year course Film 110. I am a new student at this school and therefore I am new to the rules of the website Solus which resulted in myself making the mistake. Soon after the course was unintentionally dropped, my laptop was stolen from my room. I am aware that this should not be an excuse due to the fact that there are many computers on campus that I have access to. However, I am not arguing based off accessibility, but that the loss of my computer infringed my ability to realise that I may have accidentally made a mistake in editing my course selections for this term. In the days following January 9th, I attended every tutorial and lecture for the course Film 110 as if I was still enrolled in the course. I am fully caught up to all assignments and notes for every week of this term in Film 110. My TA Daniel Patrick Glen Simpson, has agreed to vouch for me as being a full participant in this course. Also, on Solus the course lecture and Tutorial that I was previously enrolled in are both open and are not full.
I hope to continue with the course Film 110 in the future due to the fact that it is one of my options of a potential major at this school. I contacted my TA and he informed me that he is willing to meet/contact the board if needed. His email is dpgs@queensu.ca.
My lecture is FILM 110B-001 (2530) and is from 6:30pm-9:30pm on Mondays in Dunning Auditorium.
My Tutorial is FILM 110B-008 (2537) and is from 1:00pm-2:30pm on Thursdays in Ontario room 207.
