Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I am writing to appeal to add a course that I had was originally enrolled but had dropped and now realized that I want to get back into. I initially enrolled in this course due to my strong interest in philosophy and study of social diversity, however, decided to drop it as I thought it is too irrelevant to the health research field I had planned to pursue and thought it would be too much workload along with other science courses I am enrolled in.

However, these past weeks, I took more time to reconsider my future goals and my lack of interest in science in hopes to find out what I truly wanted to pursue after graduating. After all, I realized that I really want to pursue a further studies in social science along with psychological research - having said that, I also realized that in order to achieve this goal, it is crucial that I enroll in this philosophy course as it very related to the field I decided to pursue and would be the only social science related course that I would have on my transcript for my graduate program applications this September.

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: I have attended this class for the first two weeks and even though I had dropped it, I am getting readings and assignment information from other classmates. I will continue to follow along the course materials and attend lectures to stay on top of the course until my appeal decisions are made.
