Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hi my name is Daniel Benbassat and I am appealing to request access to drop a course after the deadline. My extenuating circumstance is my mother's passing this summer from her battle with cancer. I added this course at the deadline because I did not want to regret not taking it, however, starting this course out two weeks late made it very difficult for me to catch up and stay on track. I was too ambitious in trying to complete a full course load this term as I have needed to take some time to myself and visit home to spend much needed time with with my dad and two younger brothers. I know that I could have come to this realization before the deadline but I was adamant that I could complete it. I have since realized that if I continue to participate in this course it will continue to add to my stress and the marks I will receive will likely debilitate my efforts to make it into a graduate school for an MBA.

I really hope you consider this appeal as it will greatly aid me presently and in the future.
