Petition Letter: To Whom This May Concern,
I was hoping to be granted permission to drop KNPE125 without academic penalty due to personal circumstances. I have recently been undergoing assessment by a psychologist, regarding my academics and they have concluded there is a deficit in my working memory which directly affects my ability to recall information on tests and quizzes. Despite being an active participant in classes, keeping on top of all my work and putting in extra hours with tutors to better understand KNPE, this course has been the root of a lot of emotional and mental turmoil this semester. I plan to take 3 courses this summer and carefully examine the course outlines moving forward to ensure that I chose courses that interest me, however also accommodate an examination style that best suits my learning disability. Having never had to drop a course before, I was unaware that there was a deadline and missed it by 2 days. I appreciate you taking the time to read this appeal and hope you understand my circumstance.
Sincerely,
Emma O'Hare
