Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am Ziyang Qin,a first year student of Art/Science Faculty.I am appealing for a late drop of CLST103 CLST130 SOCY122 PHIL111 and PSYC100.
I am appealing to drop all these courses because of my family issues. My father passed away in November 2018. I have to go back to China and deal with all my family issued. I came back Canada in late December. I am not able to complete all these courses stuff in fall term. I failed all of my classes except PHIL111 in fall term. Back in the beginning of winter term, I was told to come back to China again since there is something wrong with my father's company. I don't know about it at first once I was in Canada. I came back home and was told I'm not to leave China until everything is done. I missed about 2 months and came back to Canada. However, at that time I can't really study because of all the things going on. I tried to focus but I just cannot.I've already have an appointment of psychotherapy as long as I can go back to my hometown. I know it's my own duty to prepare these things earlier,or even not this late, but I feel like broken and cannot really do anything. I missed about all the lectures and tutorials in all these courses and they are quit difficult for me to catch up. Also. I missed an assignment in SOCY,all exams in CLST103 and CLST130 and 3 assignments for PHIL111. I feel like that's almost impossible for me to do all these things in like 1 month.Therefore, I am appealing for all these late drops.
I will have a psychotherapy during summer break as long as I come back to China.If that works well I will come back and do first year again. I will completer all the courses I drop 2018-2019.I plan to release myself from pressure in this summer break and have a better attitue for next year study.I will also take summer school next year to let me catch up.If there is not anyhing bad happened to me again I will do my best in studying and my daily life.I am supposed to do better this year but all the things happened just hurt me too much. I will try to carry on next year and later. I will try my hardest to get better grades in the following years and future studies.
