Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing due to psychological challenges faced during the winter term. I have supporting documentation from the student life services and from the health care system stating that I have been unwell and unfit to continue my exams and other assignments, therefore it is a case of extenuating circumstances. I had been struggling with mental health issues since the beginning of the winter semester and resorted to counselling which was working for the time being but then I required consultation with healthcare system due to my mental health going beyond the usual ill state. Therefore, I am now in this situation where I am unable to complete my work due to my poor mental health and require assistance from the university. I am appealing for AG due to the current circumstance I am in and it was recommended to me due to my current grades and work that has already been handed in and assessed. The steps to be taken would be for me to appeal and wait for the decision of the dean and continue to take care of my mental health until I am able to continue my studies at main campus Queens in September.
