Dear Associate Dean,
I am appealing the Faculty of Arts and Science to waive the 21-day appeal deadline, as health issues became worse in December and did not resolve until after the 21-day appeal deadline.
The extenuating circumstances I experienced were health issues due to a Traumatic brain injury which directly affected my ability to meet the appeal deadline. Sustaining a second TBI¿¿s within one has caused both physical and psychological challenges that have directly impacted my ability to correspond and communicate with Queens in a timely manner and the reason I missed the required 21 day deadline to appeal for a late course drop.
My future plans will be to make a full recovery before attempting to retake this class. I meet with my doctor regularly and have been doing physiotherapy that has allowed me to find relief from continued head pain and stress related to not achieving my goals due to my head trauma.
Medical documentation was submitted to Queens in December and I can provide more documentation if needed.
Thank you for the consideration,
Sincerely,
Thomas Pineau-Valencienne student 20016901
