Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: When I first heard I could take Engineering Economics in the summer I was ecstatic. I saw it as an excellent opportunity to get a head start on an encumber-some third year that entails. However, I received a summer job that overlapped with school times and made it difficult to balance both. I managed to allocate the proper time for both work and school.
Following the second week of work, I received news that my closest high school teacher passed away. This really affected my ability to pursue both school and work, as she was a big mentor during my younger academic years. As of late, this course has become less enjoyable, which is not why I took it in the first place.
I am certain that if I defer the course until the school year, I will be in a clearer mindset that will allow me to fixate on the course.
