Petition Letter: The request:
I am appealing the Faculty¿¿s decision that I must withdraw from Queen's for a minimum of three years.
The Explanation:
Last year, I have been asked to withdraw for one year because of the academic, and I am now in the academic probation this year. Since this winter term began, I felt more and more stressful, and always got large pressure on upgrade my GPAs. I became hard to get sleep, and a few days before the reading week, I became not want to go to the lecture, and even do not have any motivation to do the assignment.
As this reason, during the reading week, since my mother's friend lives in Toronto, I went to Toronto to see psychologist. The doctor told me not to give myself so much stress, do some sports and get enough relax. He also told me, the reason that I felt hard on study can be the major is not right for me. I stayed in Toronto for about two months for the counseling and came back to Kinston in April.
I do know that the drop deadline was March 1st, the reason that I have not drop my courses before the deadline is, first, I was not sure if I have to drop the course or not, at that time I was still struggling that maybe I can get well soon and come back for the lecture; the second reason is I was in Toronto at that time, I did not go to see someone like academic advisor to ask for help. Therefore, when I realized that I have to drop the courses, time flies, I have missed the drop deadline. After that, I was thinking to appeal to drop the courses. But because in my appeal letter I have not write clearly about why I have missed the deadline, the appeal was denied. I was afraid to do the next level of the appeal. So right now I got all the grade of F on my academic.
Right now I have talked to academic advisor and the counseling.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: In the coming September, I am planning taking 3 courses per semester and choosing some courses to retake which I have failed before, so that can raise up my GPAs. I will keep in mind of the drop deadline. Also, I will take time with SASS to upgrade my learning strategies, such as going to the writing center, taking some workshop such as time management. For my mental health, I plan to keep in touch with the counseling and try to manage my anxiety.
