Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean and whomever else this letter may concern,

My name is Max Fulton and I have just finished my third year at Queen¿¿s University. I am writing this letter to extend the deadline for my appeal regarding a one year absence from my studies at Queen's University. Due to the seriousness of this matter, as well as my love for Queen¿¿s as a school and wanting to return and finish my studies there next year; I have worked hard to ensure that my appeal provides a perfectly clear and concise explanation for my academic standing this year. Without going into too much depth about my medical situation as my official appeal contains and thoroughly explains all of that information; throughout these past 21 days, I have been in continuous talks with my doctor regarding my medical situation, as well as my parents so that we can advise a successful and safe academic plan that will allow me to succeed in my studies should I be accepted back for the Fall term of 2019. The reason for appealing for an extension on the official appeal is that I have been waiting for information and medical documentation from my psychiatrist that will help solidify a safe academic plan for me. I have waited until the very last moments for this information (apparent through the time of this appeal), however it is still not ready at this moment. On that note, I will be seeing my doctor this week to discuss everything at which time I will be able to provide a complete and detailed appeal discussing in detail my medical history as well as my academic plan. I thank you greatly for your time and understanding and I will have my official appeal to you very soon.
