Petition Letter: To whom this may concern,
My name is Karley Heyman and I play for the Queens women's varsity rugby team. On October 18th 2014 I acquired a major concussion. For the first 6 weeks after my BRAIN Injury I was unable to use the computer because of the head trauma that I have been suffering. I have been seeing Dr. O¿¿Conner at the Queen¿¿s athletic therapy zone. In saying this have had only 4 days in total without headaches, but am still suffering from severe headaches most days. This means that I have been unable to keep up with any of my school work for 7 weeks, as my recovery has required me to be in a quiet room with no lights and minimal audio or visual stimulation. I have been in contact with my teachers and I have been able acquire and incomplete status in all of my courses except for SOCY 275. At the time of my head injury there had been no form of evaluation contributing to the final mark in the SOCY 275 class meaning I have submitting no assignments or completed any testing . This is why I feel that I need to withdrawal from this course without penalty as I am still in recovery from my head injury.
