Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I¿¿m requesting a drop towards PHIL330, as it was a course that was impacted by my extenuting circumstances (mental health) that had caused me to get an academic consideration for the term. It was my intention to make accommodation arrangements with my professor to submit assignments in place of the ones I had missed, and the arrangements ultimately could not be made. It is at the instruction of my professor that I go through with this process of appealing to drop. The delay between the appeal only being made now was due to financial difficulties. At the advice of academic advisors, I¿¿d attempted to contact ASUS and the Chaplain¿¿s office during the Winter term and was awaiting to hear back from them¿¿which never happened. However, my financial situation has improved, so I am able to submit this appeal¿¿my professor has noted that he will fully support this appeal to drop the course.
