Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I intend to appeal to add two courses past the deadline that are crucial to my development as a musician and a student, for they are my private lessons and end of year recital, which help me gain feedback from a professional in the field I am pursuing. The reason for not adding my course before the deadline is because I did not know I had to go to my academic advisor and have her help me input the course manually. Last year, these courses were automatically added on my course load, so I had assumed the same were to happen this year.

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: This year, I will be competing in a national cello competition at the Isabel Bader Center for the Performing Arts. This is to be a very challenging obstacle for me since I will be competing against cellists who are already rising professionals in my aspiring career path. This competition will demand countless hours of practice and dedicated time to the music I will be playing, and being able to work with my private instructor on a weekly basis, should the appeal be granted, will guarantee my success as a performer and musician. Regardless of whether I win or lose, the work put towards this challenge will show in my lessons, and thus also guarantee my academic success.
