Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I am appealing the deadline to turn a course into a personal interest course. I hadn't received the quiz marks for this course before the deadline to turn it into a PIC.I got two quiz marks back both of which significantly worse than I was expecting. I am trying to get into grad school and don't need a course I am taking for fun lowering my GPA and negatively impacting my future.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I propose to continue learning about and taking a course which interests me without having it negatively impact my future or lower my marks in my core courses because I can dedicate less time to them. My mental health has been suffering a little bit and so I have been forced to put my mental well being before my course work. As a result I have also been less focused than usual. Now that I know where my mental health stands and the time I have to dedicate to school work after taking care of my self, I plan on taking fewer difficult courses next semester so that I can do better in the courses I do take.
