Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing this appeal to take this year(2019-2020)off. I used to submit an appeal last year about my father's death so I dropped all my courses last year.This year I feel like things are not getting any better for me. I still feel painful and nervous. I have been hardly to sleep at night for months, and can barely concentrate on things beside me.I talked to my doctor back in China.She suggests me to go back to China,then take more treatments.My last semester is just being messy,I usually dreamed about my dad,that really hurts me.I do not think I can just keep it that way then move on to the next semester.I understand it is my duty to concentrate and complete class but I am afraid I cannot really handle all the things.Therefore I am writing this appeal to ask for a chance for healing myself.I will try to clean my mind and empty my mind then get back to study.I have been lack of confidence for the entire year and I feel like I am hardly to take it anymore. I am likely to trust my doctor and see if her treatment would work for me. I do not want to be like that anymore and I will force myself to change.
