Written and submitted in conjunction with my representative, Mike Ingham.
I am appealing the academic integrity decision of Prof. Isabelle St-Armand, through notification on January 23rd, with this appeal submitted within the 21 days allowance period.
The basis for the appeal is as follows:
1. The integrity issue does not appear to even fall under Queen¿¿s own definition of Departures from academic integrity
2. There are justifications and reasonable explanations for why the findings of the professor may not be due to any integrity issue
3. The remedy would place undue burden on a student with accommodation and penalize her more so than her classmates

Academic Plan: Alternative Suggested finding and remedy
I would appreciate if I could offer alternatives to the existing finding and remedy proposed for discussion at the appeal:
¿¿ Preferred: Enter a finding that there are insufficient grounds for a finding of departure from academic integrity and mark the paper as is, with no penalties
¿¿ Enter a finding that there are insufficient grounds for a finding of departure from academic integrity. Initial contact with the professor was a result of a concern that I had not followed the assignment rubric exactly, which somehow turned into an investigation into academic integrity. So, the paper can be marked as is, with limited negative impact from not following the rubric exactly, which should be clear from the rubric. This should not result in a failing grade.
¿¿ Enter a finding that there are insufficient grounds for a finding of departure from academic integrity. Initial contact with the professor was a result of a concern that I had not followed the assignment rubric exactly, which somehow turned into an investigation into academic integrity. I had, in initial meetings with the professor in early January 2020, agreed with my professor to re-write the paper as per the original rubric, and I am prepared to do that, but under the same circumstances as my classmates, not under unwarranted supervision. I will complete this assignment at home by our originally agreed upon due date of the end of term
