Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear the Associate Dean of Art and Science,
I am appealing to drop my ECON 111 grade off my transcript (Fall, 2019) as I was mis informed at the start of the term in September by the Professors of this course as I should have never taken it due to having transfer credits for ECON 110.
I am from the UK so took a-levels, one of which being in Economics therefore I have full transfer credits for ECON 110 (6.0). I continued to take this course as I was told that I would have no issues passing it as I got a high grade in my a-level, and by doing this is wont get a higher grade from the standard C which is given to transfer credits. By continuing to take this course I could also then focus on my other subjects.
I also didn¿¿t drop the course mid-way as I was determined to try and pull up my grade once I realized the difference in my old economics class with the new one, as my previous economics classes were tested through essays and long answer question compared to the multiple choice exams Queens uses. However, after working hard the month or so before the final I couldn¿¿t do so.
I know my standing credits for ECON 111 does not apply due to the transfer credit of ECON 110 therefore I am asking for my grade in ECON 111 to be taken off my transcript as I was mis formed about taking it at the start and should have never been in the class.
Regards,
Alice Ingram
