Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am submitting this appeal for late enrolment in the HIST 431 Atlantic Canada seminar. I have been on the waitlist for this class all semester, however I have been attending class every week, and have kept up with the readings and homework. I am a History major and therefore do require a number of upper year credits to complete my program, however this course was of particular interest to me, being from the Maritimes myself. Because of my interest in the subject, I decided to continue attending class instead of dropping the course and choosing another, in hopes that space would open up. I have discussed this matter with my instructor, Professor Haisell, who has generously provided a letter in my support which I will attach. As he has noted, I have been fully engaged with the course and kept up with all the material and deadlines thus far, and would greatly appreciate your assistance in this capacity.
